Gartneri Toftegaard’s Bed & Breakfast concept

Our Bed & Breakfast is established in two of the farm’s three buildings. When we rebuilt and refurnished the complex it was our goal to combine modern indoor decoration in Danish design and high quality with a respectful restoration of the older farm itself. Facing the yard the old rustic stable windows were modernised and used, and from all the rooms there is a wonderful view towards the fields, the forest and the apple garden.All rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and other facilities have been decorated in light colours and rustic materials. We believe that we succeeded in keeping a charming impression of the farm and the Bed & Breakfast facilities, both indoors and outdoors, giving our guests the best possibility for a nice and relaxing stay.

On the premises you will find many smaller gardens and cosy corners for relaxation, and enjoying the meals you have prepared in the B & B kitchen. (The families own private garden excluded). The image we wanted to create is one of a healthy lifestyle in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. You are welcome to explore the greenhouses, and take a walk in the fields or to the nearby forest and gardens of Vallø Castle.

We do not serve breakfast. Recognizing that many of our guests have very different wishes and needs for foods and beverages, we have chosen not to serve meals. In stead we have arranged nice and fully functional kitchens for each guest to be able to prepare and cook whatever she or he likes. In the season you have the possibility to purchase different kinds of vegetables and fruits from the farm’s shop. And you are welcome to bring your meals with you to be enjoyed in the outdoors or on the terraces and platforms in the greenhouses. Why not bring your breakfast to the strawberry fields and experience a summer morning here?

The rooms on the ground floor all have TV and Internet.

Rooms

We have large rooms in one of the buildings on the first floor. All rooms in this location have a splendid view to the fields and the nearby forest. In the other building the rooms are at ground level with access to either the Bed & Breakfast’s two gardens, one of them with apple trees. Garden furniture is placed here for your comfort. There is a possibility of booking extra beds to all rooms. Look at the Prices/Booking menu for more details.

The rooms will be cleaned, and there will be pared up with linens when you arrive.

Toilet and kitchen belongs to the rooms on ground floor, and together represent the 3 room apartment.

3 bedrooms on 1 floor with kitchen, toilet and bath, TV and internet access in all rooms.

Apartments

At ground level we offer one apartment with two bedrooms and a big open combined kitchen living room area, and private access to a small garden. The apartment additionally has television, laundry machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer. Big windows facing to the east has view to the fields.

In the other building, at ground level, we have a tree bedroom apartment with a big American kitchen, including dishwasher, laundry machine and tumble dryer. All rooms in this apartment have televisions sets.

Both apartments have private front doors, and access to garden areas. All rooms have nice views.

We offer free wireless internet connection all over Gartneri Toftegaard's Bed & Breakfast.

The apartments are suitable for families with children, or groups of friends travelling together.

Facilities

All rooms have access to common bathrooms and kitchen facilities. Also laundry machines and tumble dryers are available. Every 2 or 3 rooms share a kitchen and a bathroom. All rooms have a television, and free wireless internet.At arrival we have cleaned your rooms and made the beds with clean bedspreads. You do not need to bring your own. We kindly ask you to bring your own towels.

The kitchens are equipped with tools, pots and pans for preparing and cooking, as well as serving meals. You will find coffee, tea, sugar, spices, pepper and salt at your free disposal in the kitchens.

Remember

As a guest at Gartneri Toftegaard’s Bed & Breakfast you are welcome to explore the fields and greenhouses. We have created many small and cosy spots in the greenhouses or outdoors in the gardens, for you to have a nice and relaxing time, bringing your meal or your coffee. You can enjoy the warmth of early spring in the greenhouses, have your breakfast in the strawberry fields in June, or make yourself a “hot” adventure in the world of chillies in August and September.
